I rented it before.MT-09 Tracerwas a bad unit, and I borrowed it afterwards.XSR900When I read the reviews of the early MT-09 on the web, I couldn't believe it."unmanageable person (esp. a woman)"It's been a while since I've seen one of these, but I've seen a lot of MT-09's.Minor change modelandPre-phase typeThe first time I rented"YAMAHA's 3-cylinder is great!"The mode switch has been turned on.
And now the Tracer 900.
I haven't been able to ride the distance because I overslept a lot.But at least I was able to drive through the city, highway, and winding roads.
Here are some notes on my impressions. As usual, this is the ramblings of an amateur.
Lovely place.
Pleasant engine
I felt it the moment I borrowed it, and I know it's an old saying, but it's a great engine that has the heartbeat of a two-cylinder and the smoothness of a four-cylinder in the middle.
The sound tuning seems to have been done, and the exhaust note that reaches my ears is pleasant.
It's maturing into a tourer.
The first thing I noticed when I got on the bike I rented was the height-adjustable screen.
This is a feature that was not available on the MT-09 Tracer, right? Also, in my impressions of the MT-09 Tracer"Vibration transmitted to handlebars and steps"But this time, I didn't mind at all. At a glance, it doesn't look like the structure of the step part has changed, so is it an improvement of the engine mount?
I also felt that the ride quality had been improved. The suspension, which I felt was not so good last time, did not feel dissatisfied as much as the late MT-09. It seems to have been improved as well. The cigarette lighter socket on the inside of the carl... I don't know if it was on the old model.
Improved footing
I was worried about the footing on the MT-09 Tracer, but when I started riding it, I felt like "Oh, it's getting better. I just looked at the specs and found that the seat height is now adjustable from 845mm to 850mm/865mm. So even the lower one is 5mm higher.
There was a gap at the front of the seat, so I thought it would be adjustable, but I was surprised that it was higher than the MT-09 Tracer. I was surprised that it was higher than the MT-09 Tracer. I wonder if it is a result of my weight.
In any case, I was able to move the vehicle while straddling it, and with this, I have zero complaints about the footing.
Just the right amount of displacement. Gear ratio for high speed cruising.
When cruising at 100km/h on the Tomei Expressway in 6th gear, the engine was spinning at just under 4,000rpm, so it didn't feel like it was working hard. The Ninja 1000 and other Kawasaki touring models are relatively low geared and require the phantom 7th gear.
Is it different for the Versys series or something else?
This is what is called the off-car position.DUCATI Multistradain the same way as ”You can start the interview now." The seating posture was so straight that it looked like I was sitting on the floor.
But this time, when I first rented the bike, and right after I returned it and switched to the Ninja 650... But this time, when I rented the bike, and when I returned the bike and switched to the Ninja 650... and even before that, when I test rode the DUCATI SuperSports S while touring, the position felt natural and comfortable. The handlebar width, height, and step position are probably different from the MT-09 Tracer, right?
Hmm? What is it?
High center of gravity for an adventure bike
Well, this is just begging for something, but the riding position and center of gravity is higher than sports tourers, so naturally the fluttering feeling in the corners is inferior. This is a minus point for me as I enjoy touring a lot on mountain roads.
Other than that... Hmmm. There's not much to complain about. There's also a higher-end model, the GT, which is more specialized for touring use and comes with pannier cases, heated grips, and better suspension.
I think it is a very good bike for long distance travel. It's like saying, "I can't drink miso soup in a French restaurant", if you can't enjoy mountain roads more than a sport tourer.
summary
I feel like I write this every time I ride the MT-09 series.... "Mr. YAMAHA! What about the MT-09 Fazer, a full cowl sports tourer with this engine? Are you going to release it?" is the summary.
