It's been three years, so... I think it's time... I know.
When I was first (and now third) single, I rented a car every weekend and drove a variety of vehicles, but I never came to the point where I wanted to own more than one vehicle... Of course, the most important thing is to be economical, but frankly speaking, whether it's FR or FF, four-cylinder or six-cylinder, if the vehicle has reached a certain level of quality, there's not much difference between driving on the street and driving on vacation. But motorcycles are different. The more you rent a bike, the more you'll find that "the variety of body types and engine models, as well as ride and driving pleasure, is unmatched by cars. .... I want more than one of these... The more you rent a motorcycle, the more you want to have one. I've been wanting to buy one....
Well, I don't drink, I don't have kids, I'm single with two divorces... I don't have any major debts other than my mortgage... No disabilities at all.
The time to buy is now... This is why I was seriously considering adding more cars to my fleet while I was on emergency leave.
Top candidate: CB1100 RS Limited Order Period Model
And the first candidate... This is the matte black CB1100RS, which was released for a limited order period until the end of May 2020.
The current model will probably be the last chance to buy a new large air-cooled CB.At the end of last year, when I was about to explode with desire, I found it difficult to find a good base car in black color, so I temporarily lost my passion for this shape.I thought this was the only way to start.
I got a quote from a dealer... Gather information on stores that have limited edition cars on display... I've got to make some financial arrangements. That's about it. Then, I went to the dealer to check out the car."I'll buy it."I was just in the mode of declaring that...
HoweverYou can't buy something without riding it....I have a policy that says, "I'm not going anywhere. I couldn't try touring with a rental bike during the Corona voluntary restraint period..... I'm sure you've heard of it. I'm sure you can understand....
Would you buy it without riding it? I thought about it quite a bit, but I didn't need to ride it to know that. I rented it twice, igniting my first desire for more cars.Harley-Davidson XL883N IRONI rented it three times because I felt it was the ideal ride.SUZUKI GSX-S750Unlike the Ninja 650, the Ninja 650 has a very similar riding style to the Ninja 650. If you don't see a difference, you can't buy one.....
For this reason"No rental test drive in advance...."This is why I decided not to buy it....
Then Lost: Comparing the GSX-S750 and a 3-cylinder naked
So I thought, "Why not go back to the beginning and ride the GSX-S750? I thought. But there was one problem.
It was the key to the GSX-S750's greatness."The power in your hands and the light weight of the body make it a fun vehicle for day trip sport touring."There were three other bikes that seemed to have something that the Ninja 650 didn't have and were still attractive. That's YAMAHA'sMT-09 or XSR900and TRIUMPH's Speed Triple
I've rented two YAMAHA models before, but I've only been able to play with them because work got in the way or I wasn't feeling well... I've only been able to play a little bit with both of them, but I've had enough of a glimpse of how nice they are.
And twin mufflers tucked into a tail cowl that you love the design of and don't have to worry about if you're not loading it with luggage. The Triumph has a cantilevered rear suspension that looks like an iconic sports bike....
And while I was googling, I also found a certified pre-owned BMW S1000R with a lot of options at a reasonable price... I really couldn't choose.
And I ended up with a red bike.
The period of self-restraint ended on May 28th. As usual, I was working at home and thinking about bikes, when I thought, "Oh, I'll go to Suzuki World to look at some bikes..." That was the beginning of the comedy....The main reason why I couldn't decide on the GSX-S750 in the first place was because, as I wrote in my rental impressions article"I don't like the front design...."That's what he said....
"Marumetization"I googled it with the keywordArticle by a person who has a GSR750 with good round eyes.I've seen....
This is a good idea... I'm not sure what to make of it. To be honest, I like it a lot: .... I'm not sure what to think....
The headlight unit of the GSX-S750 can be removed easily, so it is easy to use a general-purpose light to make the eyes round..... In addition, when I was googling, I found information on the GSX-S1000, but the basic structure is the same here.
So I went to Suzuki World. If I'm going to buy a bike, I want a bike with gold front forks.I've been thinking about it. However, the outer tubes of the current new cars are all black....
This late model GSX-S1000 with only about 4,000km on it caught my eye when I was looking at the used ones at the store.
Since it was taken with an iPhone, the image file name is a time stamp, but the time is 13:45:24...
Anyway, I got an estimate. I also got an estimate for the cost of having the outer tubes of the front forks replaced with gold.
It must have been about an hour and a half after I got home. I couldn't take it any longer. "I'm going to buy the GSX-S1000 you just told me about. What time are you open today?" I was on the phone with the store.
And here we are before 5pm.
By the way, I only looked at the car body for about two minutes at this point. I didn't get a good look at the sides or the back of the car because I was standing in the used car section.
So I decided on the GSX-S1000 (MY2017) in a very impulsive buying mode.
If you go back to the basics, the GSX-S750 is probably the way to go.Also rented a GSX-S1000FI've also learned that replacing the throttle with a newer Katana throttle will improve the throttle response, which was one of the things I found wrong with the S750.
The Ninja 650 is the only bike that can be ridden with the throttle open, so the 1000cc is the final answer.
