A winter tradition. Early rising goof.
I woke up at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday because the weather was forecast to be bad on Sunday this week. I woke up at 6:30 a.m. I haven't solved the problem of the Heatech glove not warming up, but I've been riding normally with the grip heater and the glove for the grip heater, so it should be fine.
But the room was cold, so I turned on the heater, turned on the TV, and waited for the room to warm up... I turned on the TV and waited for the room to warm up, and before I knew it, it was 9 a.m... The day would be over before I knew it, so I hurriedly changed my clothes and set off for the Tomei - Odashi. I thought it might be cold in Hakone in the morning, and it might even freeze... So I didn't go up the mountain and drove straight through to Yugawara and Atami.
Inner protector + N-3B is cold.
My winter riding jacket used to be a leather jacket with a protector, but today I'm wearing a Cominet inner protector + Heatech jacket + N-3B. I found the N-3B to be very warm when I was in Tokyo the other day, so I thought it would be enough.
As soon as I started running, I was fine and warm even though the temperature was in the single digits, but the problem was on the highway. It was fine up to around 60km/h, but at higher speeds, the cold air from the jacket cooled by the driving wind invaded the heating of the Heatech electric jacket and spread to my bare skin... At the speed of the passing lane, it was frankly cold.
One of the reasons for my defeat was that I was wearing the Heatech over the inner protector, so next time I'll have to experiment with wearing an electric heating jacket under the protector... I'm feeling a bit like I have a cold when I get home....orz
The sky wasn't as blue as the weather forecast, so there were a lot of clouds all day today.
And I ended up eating this.
So I was running for a venison steak in Minami-Izu, but I was not so hungry because of the hot pot I ate the night before. The steak was a little heavy.... But I wasn't so hungry because of the hot pot I ate the night before.
A sushi restaurant in Inatori that I liked and visited twice last winter. The sea bream nigiri at this restaurant is superb.(1st visit・Second visit.)
The parking lot was empty (the last two times it was full, so I parked at the port and walked over), so I parked my bike....
I entered the restaurant and quickly took a seat at the counter... I received a menu...... "There are no boats out today, so we don't have nigiri and boiled gilthead sea bream." I was astonished to hear that.
For a moment, I thought about leaving the show and going back for the venison steak, but then I heard that the top nigiri comes with two pieces of sea bream, so I ordered that. I had a raw oyster first....
I was slurping up some sea bream soup....
Sushi arrives. Ten pieces of local fish including sea bream.
This was a delicious lunch, and we were very satisfied with it. After finishing the meal, we rode around the town of Inatori. It was 1:00 pm when we returned to the main road and took a break at a convenience store. The sun would be setting in three hours.
Izu Skyline after a long time
I had a feeling that I would die of cold if I took the highway or crossed a mountain pass after it got dark and the temperature dropped, so I decided to go back the way I wore my trousers, although the distance would be shorter. However, it would be a waste of time and effort to go back the same way, so we headed towards the mountains.
It's been a while since I've been on the Izu Skyline. It was cold as you'd expect at higher elevations, so we were going at a moderate speed... I saw raindrops on the shield of my helmet... Hmm? I thought, "What?
"Lies? Seriously? I thought to myself as I drove for a few minutes, but I was relieved to see that we were safely out from under the rain clouds. As usual, there were so many clouds that I couldn't see Mt....
But it is still a spectacular road. On the route that runs along the top of the ridge, we saw one spectacular view after another. The sun was starting to set, and the sunset was beautiful.
After exiting the Atami Interchange, we took the Hakone New Road down to the Tomei Expressway via Odashi.
Wasted money and came home. At night, I went to Uber Eats
When I was riding on the Tomei highway, I thought that the metal cup in the toe of my safety shoes, which I wear instead of riding shoes, was getting chilly as the sun went down. It's still bearable, but it will probably be impossible when the temperature drops even lower.
So, when I took a break at Kohoku PA, I set Kohoku NAPS in the navigation system and took a detour and wasted money.
I tried on a pair of AVIREX YAMATOs at Amazon Prime Wardrobe the other day, but I returned them because I thought the long boots were not suitable for a sports tourer. So this time, I dropped by to try on the short version of the TIGER.
The price was much cheaper than Amazon, so I bought them on the spot. By the way, I usually wear 27cm shoes, sometimes 27.5cm depending on the manufacturer, but these boots were made quite large. I was wearing thick socks, but 26.5cm was just right for me.
When I got home and took a breather, hunger struck, so I had green curry and papaya salad delivered by Uber Eats for dinner.
That's the end of the weekend... Sunday... I'm going to work....orz
